1 dead, 1 seriously hurt after robbery turned into shooting in northeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is dead and another seriously injured following a shooting in northeast Charlotte.

Around 9 p.m. on Sunday, officials responded to the 3700 block of North Davidson Street for a gunshot wound call.

Medics confirm that one person died at the scene. Another victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Officials on the scene tell us that this incident started as a robbery that took place inside the building. They say that they are not looking for any suspects and there is no threat to the public.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating this incident.
