    Queen City’s track program fares well at Mo Parker Relays

    Queen City’s track programs competed in the Mo Parker Relays hosted by Hooks ISD on Mar. 14.

    The varsity boys’ team earned 231 points overall and finished first, the JV boys’ team put up 227 points and finished first and the varsity girls’ team placed third overall.

    Varsity Boys In the 100m dash Charlie Kirkland placed third; in the 200m dash Daketrick Smith placed second and Delvon Federick placed third; in the 400m dash Lathan Chamblee placed third and Caleb Kimble finished fifth; in the 800m run Caleb Kimble placed second and Isaac Thomas third; in the 1600m run Timothy Brady placed fourth and Xavier Allison placed sixth; in the 3200m run placed second and Allison third; in the 110m hurdles Trevonne Horsley placed first and Bryce Belk fifth and in the 300m hurdles Horsley placed first, Belk finished fifth and Jeremiah Henderson placed sixth.

    The 4x100 Meter Relay team of DJ Henson, Delvon Federick, Charlie Kirkland and Nicolas Herring placed first overall; the 4x200 Meter Relay team of Henson, Federick, Smith and Herring placed second and the 4x400 Meter Relay team of Henson, Belk, Smith and Herring placed fourth.

    In Long Jump Daketrick Smith placed first, Trey Jones third and Delvon Federick fifth; in shot David Jackson placed first and Ke’idie Harrison sixth; in discus Levi Byrum placed first and Jackson fifth; in Triple Jump Henson placed first, Smith third and Jones fourth; in High Jump Belk placed third and Jones fourth and in pole vault Thomas placed second.

    Varsity Girls In the 200m dash Jamecia Cook placed first at 28.26, Makayla Wilson fourth at 29.44 and Ava Norton fifth at 29.79; in the 100m Hurdles Lola Gladden placed second at 18.83; in the 300m Hurdles Mallory Hamilton placed second at 56.03; in the 400m dash Serenity Oden placed second at 1:06.01 and Brooke Garner third at 1:07.08; in the 3200m run Mia Kiesler finished second at 17:44.00; the 4x100m relay team of Serenity Oden, Makayla Wilson, Jamecia Cook and Brooke Garner finished third at 52.93.00 and the 4x400m relay team of the same lineup placed third at 4:34.22.

    In Triple Jump Brooke Garner placed first at 33 feet, 5 inches and Dori Sasser placed second at 32 feet, 3 inches; in discus Grace Alexander placed first with a toss of 104 feet, 1 1/2 inches and Makenna Hamilton placed second with a toss of 84 feet, 6 inches; in Pole Vault Reagan Hargrave placed second with a mark of 7 feet even; in High Jump- Mallory Hamilton placed second at 4 feet, 10 inches and Serenity Oden placed third with a mark of 4 feet, 8 inches and in shot Alexander placed fourth at 28 feet, 3 1/2 inches.

    JV Boys In the 100m dash DJ Parker placed second and Malaki Richardson fifth; in the 200m dash Richardson placed fifth and Jason Joffray sixth; in the 400m dash James Gladden placed first and Richardson second; in the 100m hurdles Chris Brown placed second and Jeremiah Jones placed third; in the 300m hurdles Brown and Jones finished 2-3; in the 800m run Gladden placed first, Cameron Clarke fourth and Dion Metzger fifth; in the 1600m run Metzger placed first and Clarke second and in the 3200m run Metzger placed first.

    The 4x100 Meter Relay team of Parker, Trenton Belk, TJ Guest and Derell Sewell placed third; the 4x200 Meter Relay team of the same lineup placed third and the 4x400 Meter Relay team of Gladden, Belk, Guest and Richardson placed first.

    In Long Jump Sewell placed third, Guest fourth and Belk fifth; in triple jump Tavon Andrews placed first, Sewell second and Belk fourth; in high jump Andrews placed first; in pole vault Gladden placed first; in discus Alex Venable placed second and Koredell Federick third and in shot Venable placed first and Federick fifth.

    QC’s next meet will be Thursday, Mar. 21, as QC hosts its own JK Hileman Relays with things kicking off at 3:45 p.m.
