Queen Creek taking applications for teen committee

Teens interested in shaping Queen Creek's future can apply to become members of the Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee.

Under the direction of Mayor Julia Wheatley, Queen Creek will be starting its first Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee in fall 2024.

“This program was developed to provide teens with a voice -- participating students will not only meet and discuss current issues facing Queen Creek teens but will work together with our Queen Creek Town Council and community to develop solutions and create engagement among the youth in our town,” the committee’s website stated.

The Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee will kick off in the fall of each school year. To qualify, a teen must be a Queen Creek resident and entering grades 9-12 in the upcoming school year.
