Postino , the popular wine cafe offering unique, approachable wines and food, has been announced as one of the first tenants coming to The Switchyard in Queen Creek .

The new $120 million mixed-use project is the latest from Creation , a leader in innovative real estate development, according to Queen Creek Sun-Times . Located at the northeast corner of Ellsworth and Ocotillo roads, The Switchyard is expected to break ground in the fourth quarter of 2024 and will sit on 10 acres with 54,000 square feet of in-demand restaurants, retail, and office space in the Southeast Valley. The first phase of the project is expected to open in early 2026 .

Postino will sit in a 3,800-square-foot space and will serve as the area’s wine-focused tenant, with many more expected to be announced in the coming months. Another tenant that was also recently announced for the massive project is a fourth location of The Porch, a retro-inspired neighborhood concept that offers cocktails, beer, bar food, games, and TV. The local restaurant already has locations in Arcadia, Tempe, and Gilbert. The Porch will be significantly larger than Postino, featuring an 11,900-square-foot restaurant with an expansive outdoor patio.

“Queen Creek is seeing significant demand for a true mixed-use development that integrates living, working, and social spaces, and The Switchyard aims to meet those needs in this growing community,” David Sellers , co-founder of Creation, said in a news release. “This project allows us to contribute to the town’s growth with highly sought-after retail, dynamic food and beverage options, amenity-driven offices, and outdoor gathering spaces. We are committed to delivering a development that enhances the quality of life for residents and meets the evolving needs of the area.”
