    Queen Creek softball teams headed to state

    Three cheers for the Queen Creek Heat Little League Softball program.

    The program has two  District 14 Champion All Star teams that will be representing the town at the state tournament.

    Both teams made state by beating teams from Gilbert.

    The Queen Creek Heat minors team is made up of girls 8-10 years old. The team won its spot at state on June 20. The team will compete in the state championship starting July 8 in Cottonwood.

    The minors team members are:

    • Tessa V.
    • Rachel D.
    • Kinley C.
    • Blake R.
    • Andrea P.

    The team’s coaches are:

    • Richard C.

    The majors team is made up of girls 9-11 years old. The team clinched its shot at the state title on June 22. The team will compete in the state championship starting July 5 in Bull Head City.

    The Queen Creek Heat Little League Softball program was established in 2006. Little League Softball is for girls ages 4-16.
