After two months of maintenance Queen Creek's Pocket Park for Pups reopens Sunday.

The dog park is located in Founders' Park, 22526 S. Ellsworth Road.

The park is open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., except for Tuesdays, when it opens at noon.

Queen Creek’s Pocket Park for Pups is a heavily used facility and that use has a cumulative effect on the site – specifically on the ability for turf to grow.

The closure allowed staff to recondition the soil and conduct deep watering, giving the roots time to strengthen and grow deeper into the soil. Deeper, healthier roots promote turf growth even with heavy use.

While at the park, you must keep your dog on a leash from your vehicle until you are inside the dog park, as well as anytime you are in a public space other than the designated dog park.
