Wake up to “what’s cooking” in Queen Creek at the town’s annual free pancake breakfast.

The breakfast runs from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9 at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre, 20464 E. Riggs Road.

Hosted by the Queen Creek Town Council, this is an opportunity for residents to learn what’s happening in the town and be “QC Neighborly” while enjoying a breakfast featuring IHOP pancakes and Starbucks coffee, a town press release stated.

Town representatives will share information on upcoming projects and answer questions. In addition to learning about new businesses coming to town, residents can also get information on upcoming roadway projects and what’s happening with the public safety departments.

Families can peek inside construction, utility and emergency vehicles during “Touch-a-Truck.”

“Don't be surprised if you see a horse or two,” the release continues. “Participants will also get the opportunity to see barrel racing, pole bending and much more in the uncovered arenas at Horseshoe Park.”

Dignity Health will be providing 100 free flu shots for individuals over the age of 3. Shots will be administered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
