Braves fans clowning on Mets radio host after he jinxes New York yet again
One New York radio host is making waves for all the wrong reasons once again. Sal Licata (a WFAN and SNY personality) became infamous in both Mets and Braves circles for foolishly predicting the NL East to be over in late May of 2022. As we all know, the Braves would eventually erase the 10.5 game lead the Mets held and win their 5th consecutive NL East title.

Mets Monday Morning GM: 3 trade targets who make more sense now than they did a month ago
My tune on Michael Kopech has completely changed. It’s not just because he is pitching better either. The addition of Kopech to the Mets is more strategic than anything. The cost should still be a little insane considering the extra year of control he has. Despite being 2-8 with a 4.74 ERA in 43.2 innings, Kopech is a talented arm for the Mets to consider and maybe not a guy to immediately land on the roster either.

Once an Enemy, Upstate NY Native Now ‘Excited’ to Be with Mets After Trade
The relationship between Jesse Winker and fans of the New York Mets has been a tumultuous one, to say the least. It all started five years ago, when Winker was a member of the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds beat the Mets at Citi Field that season, and at numerous points, Winker made waving gestures that enraged New York fans.

Alonso homers to start the Mets on their way to a 15-2 blowout against the Twins
NEW YORK — Pete Alonso homered to start a six-run fourth inning and the New York Mets blew out the Minnesota Twins 15-2, turning the opener of an interleague series between playoff contenders into a lopsided laugher. Jeff McNeil and Luis Torrens each drove in three runs for the Mets, who batted around twice in three innings. Every starter had at least one RBI besides newcomer Jesse Winker, who singled and scored in his first Mets start before getting lifted in the sixth. Winker was acquired from Washington in a trade finalized Sunday morning. Jose Quintana fell behind 1-0 after five pitches but kept Minnesota off the scoreboard after that, throwing six effective innings to win his second consecutive start.
