    Suspects wanted for 5 Bronx, Queens gunpoint robberies in a week

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Thursday released surveillance footage of suspects sought in at least five robberies that happened in a week across the Bronx and Queens.

    The first incident happened at around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, inside of 1524 Unionport Rd. in Parkchester.

    According to officials, a 32-year-old man was approached by the suspect who displayed a black firearm and took approximately $2,500. The suspect then fled in a vehicle with another suspect towards westbound Unionport Road.

    At about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, a 27-year-old man was approached by both suspects inside of 500 Baychester Ave. in Baychester.

    The suspects displayed a black firearm and took approximately $1,500 then fled in a vehicle northbound on Baychester Avenue.

    The third incident happened at around 1:16 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, inside of 969 Morris Park Ave. in Morris Park. A 23-year-old man was approached by three men who then displayed a black firearm and took approximately $5,000, authorities said.

    The suspects fled in a vehicle westbound on Morris Park Avenue.

    The victim was injured and transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.

    The following incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14 inside of 41-20 Ditmars Blvd. in Astoria.

    A 64-year-old man was approached by three suspects who displayed a black firearm and took approximately $220 before fleeing in a vehicle eastbound on Madison Street.

    The victim was injured and treated on scene by EMS.

    The fifth incident happened at about 12:49 a.m. on Monday, July 15, inside of 66-61 Fresh Pond Rd. in Ridgewood.

    A 29-year-old man was approached by three suspects who displayed a black firearm and stole approximately $220.

    The suspects fled in a vehicle eastbound on Madison Street and no injuries were reported.
