The Mets and Yankees face off Tuesday and Wednesday for Part 2 of the Subway Series.

The Mets swept the Yankees in Queens last month and now head to The Bronx.

The Yankees have been struggling mightily the past month, but still find themselves in the top spot for the AL Wild Card.

The Mets have turned their season around from 11 games under .500 to now tied for the third NL Wild Card spot.

Former Mets pitcher and SNY analyst Ron Darling joined Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman on “The Show” this week to break down the Mets’ side of the rivalry.

Mets broadcasters troll Michael Kay after ‘best booth’ rant

“The Show” podcast with Joel Sherman & Jon Heyman:
    • YANKEES ISSUES: Their offense needs to wake up outside of Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. Their offense just is not good outside of those guys. What will they do at the trade deadline?
    • METS PLANS: Braves are vulnerable with all their injuries. Mets should be going for it. The wild card race is wide open. Bullpen should be their main focus and maybe an outfielder.

    • METS DEADLINE: Need to get a lefty for the bullpen. Need bullpen arms.
    • PETE ALONSO: Difficult to be a home run-hitter in a contract year. A lot of pressure on him. Pete is a valuable part of the organization. The game considered home run hitters at first base not as valuable.
    • PITCHING INJURIES: Guys need to take time off from throwing in the offseason in November and December.
    • METS PITCHING: What’s been the key to Luis Severino’s success this year? How good has Sean Manaea been?
    • BEST BOOTH: Gary Cohen is a caretaker of Mets history and is as prepared as anyone to do the job. Keith Hernandez has comedic timing. Understood Michael Kay’s pain about having to do the read about the best booth in baseball. Keith keeps the booth loose and not too nerdy.
