A moment before the Yankees and Mets started their final game of this year's Subway Series, another New York sports celebrity took center stage.

Knicks star Jalen Brunson walked out to the mound prior to Wednesday night's game and threw out the ceremonial first pitch in front of an applauding Yankee Stadium crowd.

Brunson, who led the Knicks to the second-round of the NBA playoffs this season, was on the field prior to the game, enjoying a few moments with Yankees captain Aaron Judge and Mets star Francisco Lindor.

Arguably the most popular professional athlete in New York these days, Brunson agreed to a four-year, $156.5 million contract extension with the Knicks earlier this month.

And Brunson and the Knicks received more good news Wednesday as head coach Tom Thibodeau reportedly agreed to a three-year contract extension that keeps him in New York until the 2027-28 season.
