Mets first baseman Pete Alonso’s wife reposted a photo of her husband from the Mets’ account on her Instagram story Wednesday night, celebrating the team’s series victory over the Yankees.
“Subway series!!!,” Haley captioned the photo, followed by three broom emojis to emphasize the sweep.

Alonso’s two-run dinger in the fourth inning sparked a streak of 11 runs unanswered, leaving the Bronx Bombers with no chance of a comeback.
Francisco Lindor fueled the fire in the fifth with a scorching two-run blast to right against Yankees ace Gerrit Cole.
Mark Vientos and Lindor again both went yard in the eighth in which the Kings of Queens secured their second win in the Bronx, adding to the two they claimed at Citi Field in June.
In four showdowns this season, the Mets walloped the Yankees 36-13.

Pete and his wife, who tied the knot in 2021, recently returned from All-Star week in Arlington, Texas, where they rocked the red carpet in their matching black ensembles with a hint of western flair.
The NL team fell to the American League, 5-3, and Pete struck out in the ninth inning after entering the game in the bottom of the seventh.

Haley, who has attended all three of her husband’s All-Star weeks, claimed the experience doesn’t get old.
“It’s really special seeing him live out his dream and being able to support him along the way…It’s always a great week here,” she said at the red carpet.
Pete and the Mets (53-48) tip off a four-game series against the Braves, who sit at second place, trailing NL East leaders the Phillies, on Thursday night at Citi Field.
