The Mets got bad news regarding Kodai Senga’s left calf strain Saturday , with Carlos Mendoza saying the right-hander would most likely miss the rest of the regular season.

The manager left open the possibility Senga could return if the Mets reach the postseason, but he suffered a “high-grade” strain when he raced off the mound after an Austin Riley pop-up and fell to the ground Friday night at Citi Field.

The right-hander was making his first start of the season after being sidelined since the spring with a right shoulder sprain.

“It sucks,” Mendoza said of the news Senga would be out for so long.

Tylor Megill, already scheduled to start Saturday against the Braves at Citi Field, was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to take Senga’s spot on the roster.

There was initially some doubt about how long Megill would stay in the rotation in place of Christian Scott- on the IL with a strained UCL — but they may need the right-hander indefinitely with both injuries.
