    Queenstown seeks public help following recent thefts

    QUEENSTOWN — The Town of Queenstown is requesting residents assistance regarding a recent occurrence of thefts in town.The Town Commissioners shared their plea on the Queenstown website and the Town of Queenstown Facebook page detailing the incidents.

    On or about June 15, a pole mounted digital speed awareness sign/solar panel assembly was removed from the shoulder of Main Street near the area of 7500 Main Street.

    On June 16, an additional identical unit was removed from the shoulder of Main Street in the area between Comegys Lane and Links Lane.

    An additional pole mounted solar panel assembly was removed from the area of Harbor Drive during this time period as well.

    The Town has also contacted the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office regarding these incidents. They are asking all residents to be observant of similar equipment you may own and are requesting any residents who may have cameras along Main Street that could have captured video or pictures from this time period to contact D.F.C. Baer with the QAC Sheriff’s Office at 410-758-0770 or the Town Office at 410-827-7646.

    Town officials said they are taking these incidents of theft seriously and appreciate any assistance or information that can be offered.
