The Quincy Police Department is investigating three separate shootings within 24 hours — only one injured a person.

On Wednesday, around 5:45 p.m., QPD officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of South Stewart Street, according to a QPD news release posted on social media. No one was injured, but "spent shell casings" were found "confirming the presence of gunfire."

Almost 6 hours later, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Florida Avenue after multiple gunshots were reported. Shell casings were the only thing found at the scene when QPD surveyed the area, according to the news release.

Early Thursday morning, shots were fired in the 1800 block of Inlet Street. Officers immediately provided medical aid to a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported for further treatment. "The victim is in stable condition and has been released from medical care," QPD said.

The police department said all three incidents are still under investigation.
