PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - There’s a new shopping spot in Panama City Beach that is letting people shop on a budget and avoid the intense summer heat. The PCB Flea Market is located indoors at Lindsey’s Furniture in Panama City Beach. There are 50 vendors selling their items of all different types, from flowers to clothes to handmade items. One vendor who sells custom trucker hats said having an indoor market is very beneficial in the summer months.

Join the members of the Northwest Florida Astronomy Association on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024 and view the beauty of the universe at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin. The event starts at 5 p.m. They start by setting up solar telescopes about 3 hours prior to sunset and safely observe our closest star, the Sun. Once the Sun sets, we transition to night time observing. Different size and design telescopes will be set up by dusk and celestial objects will be chosen with an eye to visual observation and variety. The objects visible will depend on the season and time of night but normally include bright galaxies and nebulae, star clusters, and planets.
