Buffalo National River update on Beaver Jim Villines’ boyhood home
Last week, Buffalo National River took the first steps towards stabilizing and rehabilitating the Beaver Jim Villines’ Boyhood home in Ponca. In 2022, a tree fell and damaged the roof of the Beaver Jim Villines’ Boyhood Home in Ponca. The damage to the roof compromised the integrity of the historic structure built in 1850 and made the log building unsafe to enter.
Brotherhood of Fulton Sets Two Benefits for August
The Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Fulton have set two benefit programs for August. The first will be for Sister Severa Davis. The benefit is set for Antioch Baptist Church at 7999 Highway 332 East in the DeAnn community near Hope. The program is set for August 17th at 6pm. A love offering will be taken for Sister Davis. Simoneaux retires from Eagle Bank
Congratulations to Carol Simoneaux on her retirement!. Carol Simoneaux began working at Heber Springs State Bank as a Loan Processor in 2001. Working in the loan department was enriching, and she learned so much from working with Jack Barber, Cathy Cox, Gynelle Linder, and Bill Lynch, who was the President of the bank at that time. In addition to loan processing, Simoneaux became the backup for the acting Credit Card Coordinator, a job to which she was particularly drawn.

Senior safety TaMuarion Wilson , senior defensive end/linebacker David Walker and senior all-purpose back ShunDerrick Powell were all first-team selections. All three are from the state of Arkansas.
