Cooler temps ahead across the Mid-South

A Heat Advisory is in effect for Coahoma, Lafayette, Panola and Quitman Counties through this evening.

The six-day heat wave is over. Scattered showers are possible tonight and tomorrow with lower temperatures and more comfortable conditions.

On and off showers are possible through this weekend with a greater chance of rain Sunday and afterward. High heat remains at bay.
