This weekend I went on a girls trip to Charleston, SC with my friends for the first time and it was such a blast! I (and most of my friends) had never been to Charleston so we had the best time exploring the city, drinking, and most importantly eating. So I figured I would share some of my favorite spots with you guys starting with Leon’s Oyster Shop. We stopped here for lunch on our first day in town and it was the perfect spot for a fun and delicious lunch break!

Leon’s is located at 698 King St. and it has super cute rustic and southern style decor and it’s so perfect for a southern restaurant! In addition to their indoor dining they have a lovely patio out front and a gorgeous garden patio out back. I sat on the backyard garden patio and it was so much fun and the perfect atmosphere to have a delicious southern lunch.

Obviously they serve southern cuisine and everything we had was so amazing! Their menu includes tons of fried foods - it is the south after all! We got to try the hush puppies and grilled oysters for an appetizer and both were so good! The grilled oysters were perfectly seasoned and buttery, simply delicious!

Then for a main I had the shrimp roll which was so fresh and light! I just loved the shrimp salad. It was one of the best I’ve ever had! It came on a perfectly toasted roll and was topped with potato chips - YUM! And in addition to the great food they also had a great drink list including rose wine on draft!

I think my friends and I all left feeling so satisfied with our meal it was definitely a place I would recommend to anyone who lives in Charleston or is just visiting for a weekend trip!
