As avid board game fans, my partner and I were really excited when we found No Land Beyond in Baltimore. It serves traditional drinks and gives the regular bar people a place to sit and talk, but the other side of the room is full of game tables and a large board game selection for customers to pick from to play while they drink.

I love this concept. Let me want you through their shop and you can decide what portion of the business is best for you.

When you enter, you'll find the shopping portion of the bar. This is where they sell board games that are unopened and ready for purchase. They have your classics such as Ticket to Ride and Wingspan, but they have some harder and more obscure games as well.

If you know anything about board games, you'll know they're expensive, and they are pretty pricy here. We didn't see any low prices available for the games we were looking for. You really have to shop around if you're a collector.

Then you make your way into a hallway between the store and the gaming tables and you can pick out a game to play. It costs $5/person to play for the day. It's a fantastic deal. We're planning to come one evening after dinner and stay until closing, getting hours of playtime in, buying some drinks from the bar, and just having a good time.

You can also play some of their retro arcade games for free if you look around the bar and find them. You don't need to spend any quarters, which I thought was very nice of them to do.

The bar is lovely. The prices aren't high at all, with cans of beer and cider costing $6-$9 depending on your brand preference. Specialty cocktails run from $11 - $12, or you can get a glass of wine for $9. We ended up getting two sodas ($4e) as we aren't regular drinkers, but this bar has a lot of offerings.

They also have six different types of pizza and boozy snow cones! Pizza, alcohol, snow cones, and board games -- what more could you want? This really is a great way to spend an evening.

By the time we left No Land Beyond, there were thirty people packed into the board game room. There's also a dedicated Magic the Gathering room downstairs that had a good fifteen people down there playing.

If you like board games or want to try some out before buying them, this is a great place to come play a few rounds for $5. I highly recommend this place. Check out their upcoming events here!
