NJ Transit Experiences Major Delays Due to Downed Power Lines

RAHWAY, NJ — On Sunday, July 21, NJ Transit service experienced major delays due to downed power lines on the tracks. Services were suspended from Newark to Metro Park.

The Rahway Police Department made the announcement around 5:10 p.m. on Sunday. At the time, the Rahway PD said that NJ Transit was on the scene, and repairs were underway.

TAPinto Rahway checked in with the Rahway PD around 8:30 Monday morning and was told that PSEG had completed repair work but that Amtrak was still working on the tracks.
