    NJ Transit Services Resume Following Major Delays Due to Downed Power Lines

    RAHWAY, NJ — On Sunday, July 21, NJ Transit service experienced major delays due to downed power lines on the tracks. Services were suspended from Newark to Metro Park. As of 8:35 Monday morning, it appeared that service had been fully restored.

    The Rahway Police Department made the announcement around 5:10 p.m. on Sunday that services had been suspended. At the time, the Rahway PD said that NJ Transit was on the scene, and repairs were underway.
