We Love Rainier WA is holding its annual fruit sale fundraiser to help the organization continue to serve the community with free family events and activities. The group is now taking orders for peaches, pears and nectarines, all picked at the peak of ripeness from eastern Washington, according to a press release. Delivery is expected in the middle of August.

Twenty-pound boxes of fresh peaches or nectarines cost $50 each, and a 28-pound box of pears cost $40. All orders must be prepaid and picked up in Rainier on the day of arrival. If a whole case cannot be used, We Love Rainier WA will be selling half cases, and it also recommends donating to the Rainier Senior Center or local food banks.

Payments can be mailed to WLRWA, PO Box 67, Rainier, WA 98576. Orders must be placed by July 31. To order, call George Johnson at 360-292-5363. We Love Rainier WA recommends placing orders early, if possible, so growers can prepare.
