During my recent visit to Applebee's Grill + Bar, I found myself drawn to a particular platter that was highly recommended in the restaurant's description. The food, overall, was quite good, though there were some inconsistencies in service and food temperature that varied the experience. One diner noted that while the riblets usually boasted a thick BBQ sauce, this time they were somewhat overcooked with a runnier sauce. Another point of concern was the cleanliness, particularly in the restrooms, which seemed to reflect on the general hygiene of the place, including the tableware.
However, it wasn't all a miss. On a positive note, the service can be exceptional. The staff, when attentive, made the dining experience feel personalized and prioritized, ensuring that everything from the seating preferences to the meal itself was to our liking. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the sides were just as satisfying.
Applebee's seems to offer a mixed bag of experiences. While some aspects like certain dishes and personalized service were highlights, the overall consistency in food quality and cleanliness could be improved. It's a place that might require a bit of caution and lowered expectations for some, but could also turn out to be a delightful dining experience for others.
