Raleigh County Commission approves $4,975 grant for Day Report Center

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Members of the Raleigh County Commission came together this week for the commission’s Regular Session meeting at which a grant for the Raleigh County Day Report Center was presented for consideration.

The grant, presented for consideration in the amount of $4,975, would be used for the training of Day Report Center employees for the Batterers Intervention Prevention Program which addresses domestic violence.

Consideration of the grant was approved by members of the commission during Tuesday’s session.

Additionally, Drawdown #4 for the North Factory, PSD Pineview Batoff Mountain Sewer extension project saw consideration during the session in the amount of $25,200.

The funding amount, which will be utilized primarily for legal services, saw approval during the meeting.

The Raleigh County Commission on Tuesday also approved grants to the Sophia Little League and Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office along with several in-house budget revisions.
