A lucky man in North Carolina plans to spread the wealth with family and friends after scoring an "unreal" lottery prize .

Timothy Marshall , of Raleigh, recently stopped by the Sheetz on Falls of Neuse Road to purchase a $5 Mega Bucks scratch-off ticket, according to a release from the NC Education Lottery . When he realized the ticket landed him one of the game's $200,000 prizes, he couldn't believe his luck .

"I started looking around to make sure nobody was pranking me," he said. "I was shaking."

He added, "My mom always said something like this would happen to me. It's just unreal."

Marshall claimed his prized at lottery headquarters last week, taking home a total of $143,001 after all required state and federal tax withholdings. He told lottery officials that in addition to paying bills and putting funds in savings, he plans to use his winnings to take care of his family.

"I want to put a smile on their faces," he said. "I know they'd do the same for me."

However, his family aren't the only ones Marshall plans to surprise. He told lottery officials he also wants to give back to the workers at the store where he purchased his winning ticket.

"I gave a fist bump to the guy at the counter when I first went it. I know them because I go in that store all the time," he said, adding, "I will go back there and give them something too."
