The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a barricaded person.

On June 18 around 10:45 a.m., deputies responded to the 4000 block of Water Oak Drive to fulfill an eviction. The resident has refused to leave.

Out of an abundance of caution, deputies have evacuated the surrounding apartments.

Officers with the Raleigh Police Department are on scene, assisting.

“We are asking residents to avoid the area around the apartment building,” WCSO said in a press release.
