Country Music Legend 'Not Feeling Well' to Miss Performances

Fans in North Carolina are no doubt disappointed but certainly understanding.  The oldest touring and recording artist in history , Willie Nelson, is having to take a short break.

At 91 years old, it is truly amazing that Nelson has continued to be on stage and travel across the country to perform for audiences everywhere.

His recent schedule was taking him to Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina for the Outlaw Music Festival Tour.  His team released a statement on Instagram informing fans that Nelson was under the weather and unable to perform due to doctor's orders.

Fans were understanding but a bit moved by the choice of words used in the announcement.

"We regret to inform you..." left fans with a panicked feeling before they read the entirety of the post.  Multiple fans commented with the same type of sentiment.

"Next time could you start with 'Willis is ok, however..."

"Scared us all to death with this one."

"When it comes to someone who's 91 years old, you're going Mohave to say, 'he's ok but isn't feeling well'."

Hundreds of comments offered the legend words of encouragement to get well.

While the show will go on with the likes of Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and Celisse, Willie will be sorely missed.  He certainly wants to be there and has plans to join right back up on the tour when he is feeling better.

The Outlaw Music Festival moves on to Virginia Beach, Virginia on June 26 and Syracuse, New York on June 28.
