RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man is in custody after a large police presence in a Raleigh neighborhood on the Fourth of July, according to the Raleigh Police Department.

At about 4:13 p.m. Thursday, officers said they were called to the 4200 block of Live Oak Road in reference to a reported person with a gun.

When officers arrived, they said they were told there was a man with a gun barricaded inside a home, and that the complaint stemmed from a domestic incident.

Police deployed multiple officers and resources and established a perimeter to ensure the safety of nearby homes, according to the police department.
