LSU offers 2025 defensive lineman from Loganville, Georgia
Brian Kelly and his recruiting staff traveled to Loganville, Georiga, to extend a scholarship offer to a three-star defensive lineman. Joseph Mbatchou is a 6-foot-5, 275-pound, defensive lineman from Loganville where he plays for Grayson High School. The Grayson Rams are 2-1 on the season after beating Dorman in week three.

Bridge's history of race crimes resurfaces after dedication to Vietnam War hero
A bridge renamed after a local war hero harbors a nearly century old dark past. Two young Black men were hanged for alleged crimes, and one lived to tell the tale. A crowd of nearly 50 people gathered Aug. 11 to celebrate the renaming of a bridge in honor of a distinguished Navy war hero, Glenn H. Daigle, who grew up in the town of Labadieville. Unbeknownst to all in attendance, 91 years ago the bridge was the site of two lynchings that left one 16-year-old dead, with a terrorizing message hanging from his feet for all to see.
