Kickback Ranch hosts solar farm impact discussion

Family farms across the US are being absorbed by solar sites and solar sites are infringing on the land we love. It is understood the personal right of someone to sell. However, this decision infringes on adjoining landowners.

Solar farms panels break, shattered glass fall to the ground and in many instances travel to our creeks and waterways. They damage surrounding property values. Solar sites have a consistent loud humming sound. They draw heat and effect the climate.

They are a burden on our volunteer fire departments. Their batteries cause fires and sites are unattended.

When these sites are hit by hail or no longer drawing revenue they are deserted, and ruins left behind. No longer can cattle and livestock graze the land nor hay cut.

This is only a bit of information. I feel sure you understand the impact. On June 25th at 6pm a meeting will be held at Kick Back Ranch located at 414 Union Academy Ada Road in Ramer, just 30 minutes from the capitol in Montgomery and south down U.S. Highway 331.

We urge you to attend, meet farmers and families who have invested in country living. Also meet representatives from the solar sites and here what they have to say.

Your attendance is important. If you will be attending, please reply to this email, text, or call 334-399-9320. We would like to be prepared.
