Police: Man shot, killed in self-defense in Pike County
LOUISIANA, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Law enforcement is investigating a deadly shooting in Louisiana, Missouri, on Saturday. Members of the Louisiana Police Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the 800 block of North 4th Street in Louisiana, Missouri, for a call for a shooting Saturday. At the scene, they found a 53-year-old had been shot by a 24-year-old and was killed.

JERSEYVILLE - For the first five years of his life, Hayden Eberlin Brown was a normal little kid. Then he forgot how to walk. Hayden was diagnosed with metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD), a terminal disease with progressive neurological decline. Now at age 14, he can’t walk, see, talk or eat. But he can hear and feel, and he needs to get to his doctor appointments. His family is hosting a benefit to purchase a van with a lift so Hayden’s mother can transport him to appointments.
Indiana and Illinois Arby’s Locations Affected by Franchisee Bankruptcy
After filing for bankruptcy, a small Arby's franchisee is selling some locations and closing others. Miracle Restaurant Group LLC, a company based out of Louisiana has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Pritzker signs bill creating new Department of Early Childhood
SPRINGFIELD – Gov. JB Pritzker signed legislation Tuesday creating a new cabinet-level state agency dedicated to early childhood education and development. The new Department of Early Childhood, which will become operational in July 2026, will take over programs currently housed across three state agencies, including funding for preschool programs, child care centers and the licensing of day care centers.

It's so irritating constantly declining calls all day long, especially when I've already flagged and blocked a ton of numbers from continuously re-calling. Obviously not all calls from these area codes are spam, but my phone has been super accurate in flagging those that are either spam or telemarketers trying to make a buck.
