The Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier, located in Carteret County, has reopened its doors to anglers, just in time for the warmer weather and the start of the fishing season. After undergoing renovations, the pier welcomed visitors on March 15th, offering improved facilities and access for fishing enthusiasts.

Owner Mike Stanley expressed his anticipation for increased visitor numbers this year, now that the renovations are complete. One significant change is the removal of the exclusive gate for king fishermen, allowing everyone to walk all the way to the end of the pier and enjoy fishing. Additionally, there is now a limit of two fishing rods per person, enhancing the fishing experience for all patrons.

Stanley mentioned that the fish are biting, with catches including sea mullets, blowfish, black drum, and a few spots. This news is sure to excite anglers eager to cast their lines into the waters off the pier.

In terms of access, anglers have two options: they can either pay a daily fee of $15 or purchase a $300 parking pass, providing them with convenient access to the pier.

With these updates and improvements, the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier is ready to welcome anglers seeking a great fishing experience along the beautiful coast of Carteret County.
