Obituary of Barbara Reynolds-Cole, 97

– Barbara Ann Cole, age 97, of Rancho Mirage, California passed away on May 19, 2024, at A Heavenly Home in Paso Robles, California. Barbara was born on December 26, 1926, to Ernest and Constance Conner and was raised in Providence, Rhode Island with her only sister, Suzanne. She attended Rhode Island schools where she met Winfield G. Reynolds. Barbara and Win were married in 1946.

Barbara was active in various charities and was a Patroness for the Palos Verdes chapter of the United Cerebral Palsy Children’s League. She had been a member of the Palos Verdes Country Club and Sunrise Country Club.

She is survived by one son, Douglas Reynolds and wife, Suzy, of Atascadero, California and one daughter, Lynne Stanton of Cheyenne, Wyoming; three grandchildren: Emily Cherry, Caitlyn Reynolds, and Bailey Stanton and two great grandsons, Seth and Luke Cherry, and her sister, Suzanne Tingle of Providence, Rhode Island, and stepchildren: Linda Juarros and Howard Cole.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Winfield G. Reynolds in 1999 and her second husband, Ray Cole in 2020. Barbara and Ray spent their retirement years enjoying their many friends at the Sunrise Country Club and traveling to Hawaii and Europe. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, and caring friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

A private service will be held in New England.
