Iowa school districts receive grants for therapeutic classrooms
The Iowa Department of Education is issuing its fourth round of competitive grants to ten school districts in the state to establish or continue therapeutic classrooms. Clinton and North Scott Community School Districts are receiving a portion of the $2.85 million for the 2024-2025 school year. Clinton is collecting $146,000, and North Scott is accepting $174,500.

UNI Athletes Gear Up for 2024 Paralympics in Paris
A trio of current and former athletes from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) will represent the U.S. at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, marking a historic moment for the university with participants in multiple sports. Senior swimmer Olivia Chambers is set to compete in five events, while Jessica Heims will throw discus and Erin Kerkhoff will sprint. All three aim to become the first UNI athletes to medal at the Paralympics, a feat not achieved since Bill Smith won gold in 1952. Miller-Meeks makes UI visit as physics department receives $1.5M grant from NASA
