On July 20, 2024, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Middletown Police attempted to stop an Audi A5 for a registration violation in the area of West Main Street and North Cass Street. The vehicle failed to stop, initiating a pursuit that ended shortly after when the car was found unoccupied on the 300 block of Northampton Way.

14-year-old dies in double shooting at Mondawmin Metro Station
BALTIMORE - A double shooting at the Mondawmin Metro Station in West Baltimore left a teen dead, and another person injured according to police.Two people were found at the metro station at the 2300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue with gunshot wounds. Both individuals were hospitalized. Police said Jasper Davis, 14, was pronounced dead at the hospital. According to the Maryland Transit Administration, bus service was temporarily canceled because of the police investigation. Service has since resumed for operation.
