The chance for severe storms became a reality Monday afternoon in central North Carolina.Shortly before 3:15 p.m. a severe thunderstorm pushed through Durham, Granville, Wake and Franklin counties for a little over an hour.The storm brought flash flooding to some areas, including a service road along side 15-501 in Durham.
