On June 27, 2024, the Pocahontas Police Department engaged in pursuit of Justin Schoenfeld, which led into the County on Nash Road. Mr. Schoenfeld fled on foot, prompting a coordinated response from the Randolph County Sheriff, Arkansas State Police, Pocahontas Police, 3rd Judicial Drug Task Force, and ADC Dog Team. Despite extensive efforts and hours of searching, Mr. Schoenfield remains at large.

ArDOT Schedules Meeting in Randolph County
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are conducting a Location and Design Public Hearing Tuesday, July 23 from 4-7 p.m. to present and discuss the proposed new roadway connecting Highway 90 and Highway 67 north of Pocahontas in Randolph County. The in-person hearing will be held at the Pocahontas Community Center (Gym), 300 Geneva Dr., Pocahontas, Arkansas. This is an “open house” meeting with no formal presentations.
