Four people are facing charges after an armed robbery and carjacking, according to deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. On June 2, deputies responded to Thayer Road in Trinity after a report of an armed robbery and theft of a motor vehicle. Randolph County deputies, along with deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, responded to Kennedy Road in Davidson County, where the stolen vehicle was found.

Candidate filing set to begin in two cities
RANDOLPH COUNTY — Candidate filing for local offices in Archdale and Trinity gets underway at noon Friday. The two northern Randolph County cities stage their municipal elections in even-numbered years although the vast majority of cities and towns in North Carolina hold contests for mayor and council in odd-numbered years. Archdale and Trinity are the only two municipalities in the region that hold their local elections in even-numbered years.
