2024 Early Outlook For SEC Football Teams: Mississippi State
You can say this about Zach Arnett's tenure as head football coach at Mississippi State. It was longer than that of Mike Price at Alabama. Things happen, sometimes very bad things, and such was the case in Starkville when Mike Leach died suddenly following the 2022 regular season. That change was to bring in an offensive man, and the Bulldogs got one of the nation's most accomplished offensive coordinators in Jeff Lebby. Lebby was brought in from Oklahoma, where his offense led the Big 12 in scoring at 41.7 ppg. (Earlier he had been OC at Ole Miss.)
