The Board of Education has approved a multi-million dollar bond referendum for Randolph Township residents to vote on. If the referendum passes, the average homeowner would see an increase of $112 per year. This is roughly $9.33 per month, for 41.4 million dollars worth of renovations and enhancements districtwide. The community vote will take place on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. The polls will be open from 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM at all 7 polling locations in Randolph.
The referendum will include enhancements to all six district schools which includes full roof replacements at Shongum Elementary and Ironia Elementary, art room renovations at all six school buildings, music room renovations at Randolph Middle School, HVAC/UV replacements, districtwide restroom renovations, and security upgrades in every school.
The district has created a 14-minute video showcasing the proposed projects. The website also offers various communication methods to accommodate different preferences. This includes short project specific highlights, financial impact details, voter information, and a FAQ section. Regular updates will be shared to keep residents informed.
