Falconer Man Sentenced in Arson Fire in Kennedy
A Falconer man has been sentenced for setting a fire that destroyed two houses in Kennedy. Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt announced that 30-year old Aubrey Baize was sentenced Monday in Chautauqua County Court to a state prison sentence of four to 12 years after being convicted of Third Degree Arson.

Dunkirk Police Hosting National Night Out Celebration on August 6th
The Dunkirk Police Department has announced that it will once again host a celebration of National Night Out. The city's annual community policing event will take place on Tuesday, August 6th and will mark the 31st year the city will be involved. Cosmic Cowboys to Open Music at the Point Sunset Concert Series
After getting postponed last week, the City of Dunkirk is set to host its first Music at the Point Sunset Concert Series performance of the season on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM. Playing at Point Gratiot will be the Cosmic Cowboys, who have been playing in the area since 2010. They consist of Dan Raynor (vocals, guitar), Jerry Waite (guitar) and Corky Gloff (bass, vocals). They cover mostly classic rock with a few outlaw country songs thrown in the mix. Some of the music you might catch them playing will include Eric Clapton, John Cougar Mellencamp, Steve Earle, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and other crowd favorites.
