Drought monitor update: Some improvement across Northeast Ohio
CLEVELAND — It's time for another Drought Monitor Update. This update factors in all the rain from last week's severe weather on Tuesday and the flooding on Wednesday. What a difference a week makes! This week’s Drought Monitor shows significant improvement for virtually all of Northeast Ohio. We are now completely free of Moderate Drought, which has been lingering for about a month in some locations. There are still some areas defined as Abnormally Dry, but even the area covered by that definition has decreased drastically.
