Husband of missing Virginia mother arrested. Hear the details
Naresh Bhatt, husband of missing Virginia 28-year-old mother of two Mamta Kafle Bhatt, is facing accusations he killed her inside their home and dragged her body outside in late July. He faces a felony charge of prohibition against concealment of a body and he was taken away in handcuffs Thursday after authorities executed a search warrant at the couple’s home. Washington and Lee law professor Allison Weiss was quoted in a recent issue of Mother Jones magazine for an extensive feature examining the parole process in Virginia. Professor Weiss is a legal writing instructor and also teaches a practicum class focused on parole advocacy. Prior to entering academia, Professor Weiss worked on the federal habeas docket for the Federal District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Before that, she worked for the Federal Defenders for the Western District of North Carolina in the appellate division.
