About 100 people gathered Saturday, July 6 at Southport Central School for the ribbon cutting, dedication ceremony, and grand opening of the new natural woodland playground. BANGOR, Maine — A child suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash Monday after a Bangor police officer reportedly struck an oncoming vehicle. Bangor police said the officer was trying to turn around in the roadway near the intersection of Finson Road and Ohio Street and didn't see an oncoming vehicle, the Bangor Police Department said Monday evening in a news release.
