Harrisburg, Pa. — Beginning Aug. 26, the Pennsylvania boards of Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine will start reviewing expedited licensure applications from out-of-state physicians within the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Participating physicians must have a letter of qualification in order to apply. Cause determined for Dauphin County fire that left resident paralyzed
The investigation has been closed into a May house fire in Steelton that left one of its residents paralyzed. Lynn Croman, 55, severed her spinal cord on May 11 while jumping from a third-story window of her home at the corner of Second and Pine streets. She is paralyzed from the waist down and will never be able to walk again, according to her cousin, Denise Tucci.

Fine Wine & Good Spirits in Dauphin County reopens following renovations
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in Harrisburg that closed back in February for renovations will officially be reopening later today. A spokesperson with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board previously told abc27 news that the renovation would increase the store’s footprint by an additional 2,000 square feet.
Hotel Accused Of Owing $500,000 In Back Taxes
(Harrisburg, PA) -- Dauphin County officials are accusing a hotel of owing hundreds of thousands of dollars in back taxes. County Treasurer Nick DiFrancesco recently announced that an audit revealed the Red Lion Hotel in Swatara Township owned more than 500-thousand-dollars. DiFrancesco said most hotels in the county collect and remit their share of the tax, and those that don't violate not only the community trust but state law. He added that an initiative is underway to recover the money.
