RPSO investigating body shop burglary in Tioga
TIOGA, La. (KALB) - The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at a local body shop in the Tioga area. According to RPSO, deputies began investigating the burglary on June 24. They said several thousand dollars worth of equipment and tools had been stolen from the business.
'Historic': Rapides school officials unveil four of 25 electric buses at Buckeye High
BUCKEYE — The only sound coming from one of the four buses idling in the Buckeye High School charging lot was the hum of an air conditioner. Four of the 25 electric buses purchased by the Rapides Parish School Board through an almost $10 million grant were unveiled Thursday afternoon. Each was backed up to charging stations installed at the high school on what Superintendent Jeff Powell called a "historic day" for the district.
Suspect sought for stealing golf cart from Tioga Jr. High
BALL, La. (KALB) - The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in a golf cart theft from Tioga Junior High School. On Sunday, June 23, around 6:20 p.m., RPSO said security camera footage captured a Black man trespassing on property at the school’s stadium.

Pineville man indicted on 1st-degree murder charge in baby death investigation
RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - A Rapides Parish grand jury has indicted Adrian Christopher-Tobias Augustine of Pineville on the charge of first-degree murder. The Rapides Parish District Attorney’s Office said the indictment is related to the death of a three-and-a-half-month-old baby who was admitted to Rapides Regional Medical Center on May 6, 2024, and later died as a result of non-accidental traumatic injuries.
