Some of you may not know that Linda Heimstra has been submerged in the creation of a grand 70-foot long mural, the "Four Seasons of Rappahannock," for many months now. Painted on the fence at the Rappahannock County Park, it has been a community project and everyone was invited to help paint it. Many heartfelt thanks go to everyone who volunteered to help.

RARA to participate in Amateur Radio Relay League Field Day
HEATHSVILLE—The Rappahannock Amateur Radio Association (RARA) is making plans to participate in the upcoming Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) Field Day. More than 35,000 radio operators and hundreds of radio stations throughout North America gather to take part in ARRL Field Day, said RARA Field Day chairman Mike Rancourt. Since 1933, the 24-hour event has amateur radio operators temporarily setting up radio stations in public locations, emergency operations centers (EOC’s), or at home, to test their emergency preparedness, communication skills, interact with the public, and enjoy a contest between stations. The field day is held the fourth weekend in June.
