RARITAN TOWNSHIP – Abby Clark, co-owner of Nex Level Ninja in the township, will be featured in the newest episode of American Ninja Warrior (ANW) Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Clark will be taking on the season 16 qualifying course in Los Angeles as she hopes to hit a buzzer and qualify for the semi-finals, according to her Facebook page.

Clark has been competing in American Ninja Warrior since Season 9 (2017).

She reached the finals in Las Vegas during seasons 10 and 14 but bowed out during stage one both times.

She also hit her one and only buzzer during season 10 qualifiers.

Clark’s journey to ANW began at Springfield (Mass.) College where she competed in gymnastics and won the 2015 National Championship on the balance beam.

She also met her longtime partner and fiancé Joe Capo, with whom who she would later open Nex Level Ninja in the Hunterdon Sports Complex.

Capo and Clark graduated college together in 2015 with no plans to continue competing, but when they attended an obstacle course competition in Brooklyn around 2016, they were hooked.

Capo would accept the offer to become a “full-time” ninja in 2018 and Clark would accept the same offer just a year later.

They moved to New Jersey and began to compete with Team Monstro in the elite division of the National Ninja League as well as training for ANW.

Capo has competed in the last six, and Clark in the last seven World Ninja League World Finals.

Clark has also won World’s Strongest Ninja in back-to-back seasons and at the last world final she placed second overall and became the first ever elite female to hit a stage two buzzer.

The couple has been highlighted by ANW and competed in its couple's championship last fall.

In 2021, Clark and Capo opened Nex Level Ninja on Case Boulevard along with partners Brayden Provan and Hunter Murphy.

While training for their own competitions they run classes, open gyms, camps and their own competitive ninja team out of Nex Level Ninja.
