Our climate isn’t conducive to an alligator habitat, mostly. The warm springs near Hagerman have hosted the reptiles. The animals can also survive a cold snap, by slowing metabolism and floating with their noses above water or ice.

Most Idaho school districts want their new facilities money all at once. House Bill 521, passed into law this year, will deliver $1 billion to schools for facilities upgrades, and districts have the option to take their share in a lump sum or in annualized installments over the next decade.
